Deliverable 4.3: Embedded system set-up
Status: Complete, can be extended with further systems
In this deliverable, we show the physical manifestation of an embedded system running test code from Deliverables 4.1 and 4.2.
The best way to show this is with some media, so here is a photograph of an ARM Cortex-M0 platform under test.
and, here is a video of the code running and producing some output
The above setup is generalisable to many systems, including XMOS, AVR and other ARM platforms.
The documentation on how to produce this setup is available here (https://github.com/mageec/benchmark-framework) as the README for the framework, and here (http://mageec.org/wiki/Collecting_Energy_Results_with_the_Automated_Test_Framework) as detailed guide on setting up the benchmarks, hardware, and framework to collect energy data.
Other publicly available information includes the design of the test framework (http://mageec.org/wiki/Data_Gather_Framework), as well as the code of the test framework itself (https://github.com/mageec/benchmark-framework).
